Mike has not received any gifts yet
Today's the last day of my vacation. I cannot wait to get back to work and some kind of normal schedule. I love my family, but I think I need a schedule to stay sane. I am also looking forward to this coming week because it marks the beginning of my HIM training. I am pretty darned excited to be doing a half iron race. On the not-so-fun side, I have to write like 7 IEP's this week at school. Oh well. Sometimes the work side of the job rears its ugly head.
I spent some ti

My winter vacation is winding down. At the same time early season training in starting to ramp up. I completely bonked this past weekend. Not such a good thing for off-season training. So I've made an effort to get more rest this week. It seems to be working.
I am glad that I joined Daily Triathlon. I am looking forward to getting to know some others with similar interests and getting some of my friends to join up. I am also loving this blog. I plan to use it to get some stuff off my c

Did you have a nice Easter? We had Friday off, so that was nice, but I've had a tough week - DRA's, report card assessments and DIBELS...I have to get report cards done before spring break. I am really looking forward to having ten days off - I'm going to Tempe for IMAZ...do you have any plans?
4 AM?????? OMG... I get up at 5 am during the week, and it just about kills me. By Thursday/Friday I am dragging. In the winter I go home almost everyday and take a 2 - 3 hour nap, then get up and do my 2nd workout (usually on my bike.) I LOVE to sleep ;-) I will consistenly sleep 9 - 10 hours if left to wake up on my own. Once I'm caught up (I can sleep 12 hours if I'm in a deficit) I can get by with 7 - 8 hours...how do you do it? What time do you go to bed?
I am so glad there are only three days with the kids this week - Thursday is SI day, so workshop in the AM and work in room in the afternoon.
Are you planning to run the Cats Half or Spring Forward?
Amy ;-)
I have been busy with school, training and trying to get enough sleep! You know how it goes :-) What have you been up to?
We have a long weekend coming up, then a few weeks until Spring Break - any plans? I am going to IMAZ, so I'm looking forward to getting on the course! I am not racing, just going for support, and I am also volunteering.
So, what's the forecast for the 15th?? If it's anything like this, I won't run, but otherwise I think I will.
Thanks for the invite...I have a 2 hour run, so I will not make it. Anyway, Greece is all the way on the other side of the world, I mean city!! haha
I am considering Johnny's, though. It would be good for me to get in a few races, though they can be frustrating since I am slow now - much slower than before my foot issues! I keep reminding myself that I am grateful to be able to run, but you know how it goes, right? ;-) And really, I am.
I am so glad tomorrow is Friday and I can sleep in Saturday and Sunday. We had a gas leak in the building today and almost had to evacuate. We got the kids all ready and then were told we could stay. I was relieved...I didn't relish the though of coralling my kids into an auditorium at Marshall HS packed with our entire school for the day.
How is training going?
I am working on my plans for the week - just taking a break - but have to get some sleep!! If we get this storm they are talking about, I hope it hits hard enough for a snowday...although the new SI will probably not cancel school anyway... :-(
Hope you have a great week!
Not sure about Johnny's...my backround is distance running, but I've had three surgeries on my left foot since 2000, so I'm afraid my running form has suffered quite a bit. Are you running?
Gorgeous day today!! Perfect for a long run...did you go?
I am not a member of the YMCA...I work out at Midtown...backround check obviously not a problem!! I just think it sounds like fun since I don't work in the summer. I am kind of involved with a friend's project - a not-for-profit that exposes kids to the tri lifestyle...get them hooked early!!! But like everything else, it starts at home ;-)
